B
i'm planning my funeral. i want to be burned in scotland. would the band be willing to play "musette & drums" if the price is right?
I'll burn you in SCotland St, Birmingham for a fiver and play Arthur Brown's "Fire" as a free gift.
there's gonna be yummy indian appetizers too
Hey, this is Birmingham - we specialise in this stuff.
all members of this sight are invited. cost of air fare is not included. sorry.
'Nuff said - you'll be guaranteed at least one site member (me), although I can't promise to hurl myself onto your pyre. I could throw on any member of Westlife of your choice, though.
i am planning my funeral
Again, I can save you time and money - what planning would you need for a couple of hessian sacks and a can of paraffin?

My question (Jesus...staying on topic twice within the same week) would be:
Given that CT will probably be the most respected of the UK's indy bands, with plaudits from the public and music 'biz' and taking into account the influence that your music has had on countless other bands, who thought of the big, crazy hair first? You or The Cure?

i can't speak for robin but i can tell you that simon is away at the moment mixing an album.

Typical - so the big hair/Cure question will go unanswered for God knows how long. Can we get either of them on the 'phone? B, you live in Greece - does that guy who did the original Marathon run have any descendants who fancy a bit of a trot?

OK, B....but my offer still stands. I reckon your corpse would look fetching in three yards of sackcloth and two gallons of 'Esso Blue'.

i can't speak on behalf of others but i wonder how many of them would accuse you of 'ruining' their threads with irrelevant pictures!....at least i was discussing the cure/music....a topic already raised in this thread. alas, i dare not try and figure you out nor argue with you for it will only lead to severe frustration on my part. that being said, i'm going to split the thread in two, removing my apparent 'ruin' for another subject heading.
sometimes you can be so very charming.

I think I sensed about 10 different ironies in that post mmmender :)

hey scott, i don't deny some of my postings can be senseless..... and irregardless of my often apparent lack of charm, i do try to maintain a sense of tact when addressing others.
that's cool...it wasn't a particularly deep thought on my part, I was just genuinely amused at the tone of your post, right on

Yes, a tech question:
Have you used the newer Eventide harmonizer units(eg. Eclipse), and if so, despite their modern 24bit digital interface(etc), do you think they are any better generally in sound quality and harmonizer functions than older units from the late 80's and early 90's(eg. H3000)?

I dont think a thread about wanting the CTs to play at yr funeral CAN be ruined....
ok. i'm sorry....but with threads like this can you not blame the poor guys for thinking their fans are fucking psychotic? i mean ...you're asking them if they would play your funeral...someone they don't know...and for a price? good grief and gravy!
here i've got it...
"hey simon. i was planning on taking a shit. I would like to know if you and robin would be interested in serenading the process with a lovely lovely song. If you wouldn't mind, i'm sure you'll find the price is right!' Meet me in romford 8am tomorrow morning. thanks. please. - jana"
wrong!
mmmm. okay.
just have someone que the boom box and hit play. no need to frighten the band members.
think of it as the lloyd dobbler of funerals.
aside from my little bomb dropping session in romford, i don't have a question.

Damn! Look at all I've been missing!! There's just never a dull moment around here, is there!
I have a question for the fans. I always here about people wanting to hear CT at their funerals, whether it's the actual band playing or not. How about getting them to play for something that you're ALIVE for and can hear and appreciate? :p
Besides, when are you planning on dying? If you make it to your 80's or 90's, who's to say that the Twins will even still be here, much less able to play anything?!? If you want to catch the opportunity while they're still around, you'd better go start playing in traffic! ......at night .......wearing dark clothes ......and camoflage face paint.
:D

Catch "The Taxidermist" when it's released next month.
