The 12 steps of Cocteau-holics (& membership cards)

(was inspired to do this from the remarks made at the CT myths thread)

These are the 12 steps of a Cocteau-holic. Do not seek help. There is no hope but to give in to what you've become. :eek:

1.Admitted we were powerless over top 40 music--that the music industry had become unmanageable.

2.Came to believe that only the Cocteau Twins could restore us to sanity.

3.Made a decision to hear the lyrics of Elizabeth Fraser as we understood her.

4.Made a searching a fearless inventory of our own Cocteau Twins collection.

5.Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being that top 40 music is wrong.

6.Were entirely ready to remove all top 40 music from our possesion.

7.Humbly knew that compared to the Cocteau Twins, we all had shortcomings.

8.Made a list of all persons we knew, and vowed to expose them all to the Cocteau Twins.

9.Would remove, whenever possible, those who would ridicule the Cocteau Twins from our lives.

10.Continue to take our own personal Cocteau Twins inventory, and where we were short, promptly purchase it.

11.Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with Liz, as we understood Her, praying only for another Cocteau Twins release and the power to wait it out.

12.Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, vowed only to support the habits of other Cocteau-holics, and to listen to their music through all our affairs, then to play our favorite Cocteau Twins song at our funerals.

If you have gone through these 12 steps. You ARE a Cocteau-holic!!! The easiest step is admitting that this is no problem.

Me either, TigerZ. That's why you've yet to see my card turn up. I have a digital camera, but it is doing VERY strange things and ultimately, is NOT taking pictures. It doesn't seem to matter, though. For some reason, I tried to send Mmmender a picture of my dog that had been taken with said camera and she couldn't open it. Maybe if I sent her the whole pict instead of just a piece of it, but I was trying to save her the trouble of downloading such a big picture. Eh! Whadya' gonna do, right?

On another note (Laaaaaaaa!! :o ), I will be hosting the next meeting of Cocteauholics this Friday evening at 7:00pm. Mmmender, please bring the Sugar Hiccup cookies. Zed, please bring the ointment for those with The Itchy Glowbo Blow. Watchlar, if I could ask you to bring the Ice-pulse for our drinks, that would be great! If you want to go to the trouble, bring it Crushed. I will provide Eggs and Their Shells, and Phil, if you could bring the Cherry Coloured Funk? I also need people who can bring the Spooning Good Singing Gum, as well as the Strange Fruit. Any volunteers?

The topic of this week's meeting is "Blind Dumb Deaf"- The common phsychosis of Cocteauholics to feel that those who do not listen to the Cocteau Twins are in fact blind, dumb, and deaf. This is a continuation of last weeks subject, "In Our Angelhood". There will be a question and answer session. Please feel free to take notes. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory. Remember, we are here to help each other through the Mud and Dark.

As The High Monkey Monk of this weeks meeting, I will be giving Half-Gifts to those who arrive wearing Pink Orange Red! The winner of the best costume will receive a set of Glass Candle Grenades! So put on your best Serpentskirt and we'll see you there!
