I know this may have already been talked about here numerious times and some may even say "Oh Gawd!...her we again" but here it goes.
Why after all this time has Elizabeth Frasier has NOT released a 'SOLO' CD?
She must know that many want this?
Sorry but with my work and other things I have not had a lot of time in the past few years to do alot of research on matters like this and is Massive attact a good suppliment or is it on the rough side?
Though I love it ....I can only listion to 'Underwater' so many times....Thank you!

"Oh Gawd !...here we go again".
You will find many a thread here about Ms Fraser's long-awaited solo debut. And a good few different opinions about it as well.

According to Lucy she's just been busy raising the kids. Maybe we can partially blame Lucy for this :D

If that is true than I RESPECT that in a big way.
Same story for Kate Bush...though after all that time her new project left me kinda bored....not that I expected the same greatness after 10 or so years...but it was kinda simple and all sounded the same. Still love King of the mountain though...great cut!

Only to her best friend Olommango, an invisible hair grip who follows her around on a clay pogo-stick.
We're not privy to the content of those conversations, obviously, but word has it that LF is working on an album of womb-noises set to Bhangra rhythms and Bontempi organ chords. The working title is rumoured to be "Itchy Coochie Park".

Gee.....I just thought I would ask.
You committed the cardinal sin: spelling Liz's name wrong. There's not a lot of mercy, apparently.

And I think that is ridiculous! We shouldn't chastise someone here because they misspell a band member's name or use "the" in front of cocteau twins. I always thought the point of this forum was to talk about the mutual fondness of our favorite band and meet some wonderful people to boot. So we should ease up a bit on the elitism especially on newbies (myself included).
Thanx!

Ruf, Rob,
Don't sweat it. With most of us, it ain't elitism...more like an inside joke among jaded old geezers. True though, sometimes we're so cliquey that we're not terribly sensitive to newbies. Nothing serious and nothing personal.
If you look historically, we've always been very welcoming to newcomers though (moreso than a lot of online forums)...as long as they don't storm in, hollering and shooting pistols into the ceiling (to use a favorite analogy of mine).
Take a deep breath and have fun with it.

Awesome. That really is clever. I think that term is going to become really hot in another 10 years or so.

how is it elitist to know how to spell correctly?
I agree I sometimes have problems spelling certain words, like "existentialism" but know how to spell Robyn Guthrey and Symon Raimonds names.

I thought it was "The Cocteau Twins", but everyone said, "Cocteau Twins". Like they do with "The Beatles"...

Honestly, don't fret - this isn't the Lisa Gerrard forum.
The "the" (not The The...stick with me, this could get complex) thing is simply a tool for winding up Leesa/Mmmender. Being the rabid CT freak that she is, she once picked someone up about putting the word "the" in front of "Cocteau Twins".
Being the sensitive, piss-taking bastards that we are, you'll find us taking a sideways slap at Leesa's virtual arse each time anyone uses the term "the Cocteau Twins".
No offence, malice or vindictiveness is aimed or intended towards new chaps and chappesses. We've been here for years, so a certain amount of "in jokes" are bound to materialise and they may well seem just a little opaque and literal to newcomers.
Now...get the kettle on.

Oh, I'm not concerned about it. I usually just say "The Twins" for short, anyway. I'm getting used to the way things/people are around here. I really like this forum and find it pretty laid back compared to other forums and I'm catching onto some of the jokes around here. Took me a while with the fax machine and ASAD thing to catch on, but it did. I really want to know more about the band...

Talking Heads were apparently so upset that people referred to them as "The Talking Heads" that they actually attempted to set the matter straight by naming a live album "The name of this band is Talking Heads."
i think she may do an album when robin and simon agree to do the music for it......i thought i was the only one who thought they heard Liz on 'Crescent' from Robin's CONTINENTAL...was happy to see someone else heard the same thing...
could someone explain about putting an photo here..i just tried, but as you see, i only came up as an attachment....thanks much:bye:
what fax machine and ASAD?
and as for spelling.. does it matter? really? come on guys.
actually i stumbled in a little too late. we established that it doesn't matter.

GOOD QUESTION....I use other boards that use the same format but pics do not load the same....what gives?
it's hard to make an album on a Wal-Mart salary! Plus, all those extra hours at inventory time...

He really does have a good point there. My older bro is a sound engineer here in Seattle and rubs elbows with some big names in music and you would not believe how little most (even big name ) artist bring home after fees, lawyers, crews, managers, owners, mixing-recording, etc etc etc.....the only real 'decent' money is on tour.
Thats one reason why I do not down load new stuff.

why, so they can get a penny out of the cd you purchased?
I don't download just because I crave the inserts and the artwork. Otherwise it seems cheap to me.
me too, call me a material girl i love having the cd and the pretty jewel cases and the inserts and having them all on display on my shelf for me to admire and for my father to criticize what i spend money on.
