as i mentioned in a previous thread, i'm trying to move this discussion board to a local (toronto) server. when i do that i think it might be easier for everyone if i change the url. which of these two would you prefer? of if you have another suggestion, please post it here. it would have to be http://something.cocteautwins.org
thanks!
. . . like cafe.cocteautwins.org?
Personally, I like short, quick-to-type URLs

ernie, that's a fab idea! great suggestion.
Thanks, Leesa :D
That's good to hear about a local server for you. After the move to Toronto, does that mean we will be able to upload pictures and custom avatars?

You might consider hearsay.cocteautwins.org.

Personally, I like E-Lo's suggestion the best so far, but to be honest, I usually just come here from an email or a bookmark, so it makes no difference to me.
arrow1 <---I just like this one, and there aren't too many occasions to use it. ;)

i certainly hope so cos it's really beginning to piss me off too! i've recently posted a message on the vbulletin support page seeking help on the subject as well. you see - i'm still learning how to use this program as i've only had it since august. hopefully when it's closer to home i'll gain a bit more experience and control over the program.

erinn, if i use a subdomain: something.cocteautwins.org then i dont have to pay for an additional domain name. also, as far as i know ct.com is planning on keeping their forum up. but thanks for your input, i do appreciate it.
I REALLY WOULD LOVE SOME MORE FEEDBACK ON THIS TOPIC!!!!!!!!! ;)

http://pur.cocteautwins.org signifying how pure and simple life would be without CT and as we saw over the new year... how purely lost we(well I) feel without these forum boards.
good luck lees!

what about these to precede .cocteautwins.org?
hearsay (cos that's what we do. well ok, we 'readtype', but you get the idea)
hueandcry (cos that's sometimes what goes on here ;) )
arklark (cos it has a 'fun' overtone)
and my fave: angelhood (a bit like neighbourhood, see? :) )
