which version do you like (or not like)?

The original is my favourite CT track of all time.

The "Twinlights" version is so bloody syrupy that it causes tooth decay in innocent passers-by for three hundred paces in all directions when played.

It's a decaying, fly-blown afterbirth of a track.

What a diplomatic answer, Phil.
Why don't you tell what you really think?

You're such a pathetic romantic, Phil. Everything ends up looking like some wonderful apocalypse with you.

Rose-tinted glasses, mate....I just can't help getting all mushy.

No kidding, it's like a fucking poem by Baudelaire or a painting by Turner.

I love the original, but I've never heard the WOMAD version. Now I'm curious.

I think it's available for download on the official CT site.
Else, it is on Adam's site.

I like them all. My favorite is when they played it live in the 90s with the altered bassline and the guitar that plays the vocal melody at the end of the song.

the original is my favorite but the womad version is pretty good too. it really is one of their best.

however, i hate twinlights. it's probably my LEAST favorite thing the band ever did.

The original is as good as anything they ever did. Can't imagine why they felt the need to do to the accoustic version, but there ya go...

This reminds me. Does anyone else find it peculiar to hear a metronome in the Twinlights version? I almost hoped that it would be removed in the Lullabies to Violaine version but it was not to be.

I like the version they recorded for The Tube.
After that, the original version.

Yes. 'Tis goodness.

The Tube version is a strange one. It's the only time I've heard where the chord doesn't change during the instrumental break. I wonder if that was intentional or not. For that reason, I prefer the live concert versions from the same time period over the Tube version.
