i just checked my credit card card statement and it looks like my HMV credit went through, they refunded the money and then.........RECHARGED ME AGAIN!

i've just called them and now i'm having to fax them all the emails and credit receipts as proof that i sent them back.

will it ever end?

Here's the flipside, mmmender...

I had to send my Mac back that died (just bought a refurbished G4DP) so they sent me another, charging my card until the first one returned.

The next Mac arrived (working beautifully, I might add!) and the old one went. When the statement came, it had 2 charges of around $2200 each. So I made the call to Visa just to see if the 2nd one had been taken off yet. Yes it had...TWICE!! :eek:

Now, while I'd LOVE to have a free new Mac, I could not in clear concience let them do that. So I called Smalldog electronics, who were unaware of their error. They were very happy that I called, to say the least. ;) So they sent me a 'care package' with a Smalldog sweatshirt, Smalldog maple syrup :confused: (yes! I said maple syrup) and a dog 'pound' of little plastic small dogs! (2, actually)

Now all this was on TOP of the over 700MB of free RAM they sent me because Apple went and dropped their prices while my second machine was in transit!jawdropper

So while I hate to hear that your credit card company is giving you shit, just remember that honest, caring, understanding companies are like honest, caring, understanding men... there's a FEW of them out there!!! roflmao

fred, no need for a second personal appearance, i don't think the warehouse people could've handled a visit from me.

it looks like the second charge was also credited to my card only a short while ago. i had to fax hmv canada just about everything besides my birth certificate! thankfully i kept a good paper trail.

lucy, "honest, caring, understanding men"? as far as i know there are only 2 men on the face of the earth who fit this description....i wish there were more though. as for your MAC dilemma, at least the company you were dealing with was nice enough to send you some freebies. all i got were scratching heads and mind-boggling stares!
