Okay, here’s the deal. Doubtless you’ve had similar threads many times before but…
Let’s imagine NONE of the CT’s tracks have ever been released before. You’ve got the rights to them but you can only put out one album. Let’s say 18 tracks and no more. I’d like to know what you’d include please. In particular how would you start and end the album? (Cos I have a ‘thing’ about opening and closing tracks being 'right', especially closing tracks)
I reckon it’ll be hard to hit upon a smooth running order with so many changes in style throughout their career.
A ‘best of’ then….but YOUR selection. Some very tough choices to make.
Oh, you can pick one of the existing sleeves too. Album, single, EP, whatever. :)

black sessions were live radio recordings done in paris france.....many bands have done black sessions recordings. the black sessions version of pandora is by far the BEST live version of that song i've ever heard - i know many fans agree!

New to me as well. Kinda like Peel sessions then? Are any of these widely available, and what other bands have done them?
I have Prince's 'Black' Album.
The Lowlife 'Black Sessions' Album were the original versions of the songs that made up Godhead. They were having contractual trouble at the time. I prefer them to Godhead myself. Not radio versions though.
Are these commercially available? I can check in europe too? I'm in Brussels this weekend.
The best version of Pandora.....! Bloody Hell! How much better can that song get?
Thanks for the info :)
