I recently communicated with Robin, we discussed the absence of a website dedicated to his work so I've agreed to set one up. He already owns the domain name "robinguthrie.net" so hopefully we'll sort it out soon so that the domain name will point to the new website. It's my understanding that the domain currently points to his blog, when that redirects in future there'll simply be a blog link in the new menu.
As you already know I've already got a plate full of Cocteau Twins websites to host, update and maintain. So, I'm hoping someone out there (who has some webdesign/html skills) will step forward and accept the job of webmaster for the new site. I'm already in the process of designing the site, doing the code and graphics, etc. but I'm going to need a webmaster to take control of the site's content and future maintenance. There's quite a bit of research required to set-up the site so it would be a perfect job for someone who's well-versed in Robin's discography.
If you're interested please contact me directly via private message.
Thanks for your time,
Lee
For now you can view the site (under construction) by following this link:
http://www.cocteautwins.org/~leesa/robin (http://www.cocteautwins.org/%7Eleesa/robin)
EDIT: FEBRUARY 3, 2007--------------------------------------------
A new section has just been added to Robin's website: "Equipment" The section provides some technical specs and details (direct quotes from Robin) on sound creation, drum machines, live recording, looping, instruments, etc. More details will be added to that section in the coming weeks. To visit, just select "EQUIPMENT" from the menu.
Another new section entitled "SOLEIL APRES MINUIT" will provide details about the new digital record label that Robin has started. When it's completed that section of the site will host digital downloads and a wealth of information and links regarding each artist on the label.
Until the domain name of robinguthrie.net takes effect, you can view the website by following this link:
http://www.cocteautwins.org/~leesa/robin (http://www.cocteautwins.org/%7Eleesa/robin)
EDIT: FEBRUARY 5, 2007---------------------------------------------
FYI, the location of Robin's website has changed slightly for now.
OLD LOCATION:
http://www.cocteautwins.org/~leesa/robin
NEW LOCATION:
http://www.cocteautwins.org/~robin/
Use the URL of the new location until the domain name is up and running.
