It'll be fair guid. Cannae wait!
I didn't get contacted again in the end, but that's probably a good thing as all those Scottish listeners would probably never understand my broad Yorkshire accent ("eyup!!!!").
Would it be possible to get hold of a copy of the CD after the event from someone ........ Ket?? anyone??
hope so ..... will use the "listen again" link once it is up and posted anyway. Looking forward to hearing some unfamiliar voices to link with familiar names ....

Groundskeeper Willie....Is that you??
I got a CD of the show in the mail this morning (didn't expect to receive it until after it had been transmitted).
Don't want to spoil it for everyone but I really enjoyed it (apart from the 15 seconds or so when I speak, I had kind of hoped they wouldn't use me, and the bit they did use was probably the worst thing I said).
Robin's great, but the big thing for me was the interview with Pat Nevin - he was really insightful. I always remember he was a big fan from the beginning. Are you here, Pat?!
The only thing I didn't like was the volume the tracks are played it, it's too low...very minor quibble however.

They will probably have their own 'jingles' and stuff at the beginning and end. We'll know when it's aired. Joyce, is your cd the same?
Brian, my CD has 3 tracks/chapters. The main one is the show which does indeed start and end abruptly, one is about 30 seconds of beeping and the other one is about 2 minutes of silence (well I think it is, I gave up after 15 seconds). Presumably this is where the credits go on the show they broadcast.

And wasn't that Liz reading out her own lyrics ? If so, do you think it was an old recording dug out of the archives ?

Mar-3-07, 2:50 PM
That's not Liz. It's a female reading a lyrical interpretation of CCF.

I didn't think it sounded all that much like Liz...her Scottish accent is very much diluted after living in England for years.

Thanks guys, that was a great program. Robin sounds like a jovial fellow.
Excellent interview. Robin gave some insight into their songwriting process which was fascinating, and the commentary was good. Thank you for doing this

Listening to it now at work. Fantastic.
excellent program, made me realise what is so good about the album, and brought back my memories of that period and what it all means to me .....
Finally figured out what The itchy glowbo blow is - the feeling you get when you can get your breakfast down your shirt but not in your mouth and can't concentrate on anything because there's a programme about your favourite band about to come on the radio.
That was sublime, made me feel like an immortal loved-up 19 year old again. Great to hear them on national radio.
And Brian fae Edinburgh, ye sounded brand new to me.
