so, friday night i went to a club in s.f. (bottom of the hill) to see a show (the decoration / hella / joan of arc) and happened to strike up a conversation with a guy who was the dj before the show. he was playing johnny winter when i first got to the club, but it turned out he had just made a run to amoeba records that afternoon and had picked up a bunch of new vinyl goodies, including 'the pink opaque' and 'victorialand', along with some wire, throwing muses, and much much more. it also came to light it was his first time dj'ing, so i new what i had to do....i convinced him to play side one of each: 'the pink opaque', 'throwing muses' (first album), and 'victorialand' in the hour or so before the show. He told me after the show that lots of kids came up and asked who he was playing, so perhaps some new CT fans were forged that evening!!

Ameoba Record store is a beautiful place!!! i am very stingy when it comes to Cocteau Twins though. i would be thrilled to hear CT in a club, but i wouldn't share it with anyone unless they were very special to me and had been in my life for awhile. It's silly, i know, like i can keep people from hearing and loving CT. :o (i wish there was a nuerotic smiley!) It's like i want to keep ctblue all to myself.

I always feel funny, though when sharing my thoughts with casual passers-by..........I always gush and make bold statements and I think I come off like a totally deranged wacko, I always get the feeling most people just cannot relate.........Nice job Crushed!!
