I listen to Pandora at work all the time. Some of the song picks can be dubious at first (Heart comes up on the Cocteau Twins station), until you use the thumbs of judgement to tell it what you like.

the similarity rules in pandora are based on a few simple criteria like type of instrumentation, chords etc. that's why it doesn't really work with bands like ct. last fm is way better.

I used to use last fm but defected to Pandora for something fresh. Now, I'll probably switch back to last fm since Pandora seems to keep recycling songs way too much. I suppose I did it by limiting my artist to Cocteau Twins only and put thumbs down on any crap by Heart and Jessica Simpson.
