it should be "no other bands/artists".

"Melonella" & "Ella Megalast Burls Forever" - both far too unique to even be attempted as cover versions.

all of them - ive never heard a cocteau twins song being covered that i thought remotley came near to them - theyre untouchable - although id do like the faye wong tracks - but i dont really consider them to be covers as much as colaborations

deftones - wax n wane was passable [ just ] but the rest just a joke frankly

faye wong is a close second...i actually prefer her version of touch upon touch over the cocteau version...

she could have kept the band going

Red Lily-"blue bell knoll"(live) is by far the best cover i've ever heard.

I'd say Carolyn's Fingers or Aikea Guinea. No one can do those thrilling trills like Liz.

Yep I agree who else could sing a song the way Elizabeth Fraser sings Carolyn's Fingers???

I cannot imagine anyone covering any Cocteau Twins songs and certainly don't want to hear any attempts when there is so much original stuff to be heard from the past and the present. This goes for nearly all cover versions, personally. The only cover versions I like are the ones where I've not heard the original yet - e.g. I've never heard Tim Buckley sing Song To The Siren.

It was interesting to read that Bryan Ferry admitted he'd done an album of Dylan covers was because he'd run out of ideas of his own.

Right, I'm getting saddlesore from this high horse.

I did have to laugh when I heard that version of Great Spangled Fritillary sung by an Indian man with a Sitar and tablas. It's one of Cocteau's more epic tracks (and it's hardly the easiest to do a cover of) so I admire his guts for trying, even if the result is quite ropey.

The worst cover that I have ever heard though has to go to 'Dark Treasure' who did a "rendition" (by which I mean 'massacre') of Athol Brose. I don't think that I have ever been so horrified while at the same time so hysterical with laughter.

I could hardly breathe from laughing by the time she broke into the chorus.

Thank goodness she didn't try to cover The High Monkey-Monk!!

I think of the singing where I can't even tell what notes Elizabeth is singing like Blue Bell Knoll, Ella Megalast Burls Forever, The High Monkey-Monk.

Faye Wong? Who's that?

I'm sticking with N/A on this question...

My choice will go to Bluebeard (acoustic version).
I think it is quite hard for other artist/band to cover this song

Here are my favorite cover tracks: Sugar Hiccup by Sugar Hiccup, CCF by Pumalin, Pearly DewDrop Drops by The New York Room, and of course, Faye Wong's cover is the best.

Her cover version of Tranquil Eye rules!

I remember The Veldt doing a cover of Pearly Dewdrop Drops(if my memory serves me correctly) when they opened for CT during the FCC tour.
