indeed this is very sad news, she died yesterday at the age of 70 and will be sadly missed.

another great voice lost...
I must admit I gasped when I read the headline. She was 70 years old, and had apparently been sick for some time. SUCH AN AMAZING VOICE, and SUCH A SAD LOSS TO THE WORLD.

Her voice was one of the smoothest out there...What a loss...
Yeah, true...but isn't that the way?...we all decay and die.....

Always sad to see an artist go,though I was not that much of a fan .
And now , her legacy .
Of course, I'm sure many of you know that Nina is a favorite of our favorite-- one of Liz's vocal heros.
(so say the authoritative faqs at www.elizabethfraser.com ).

Never was a fan - her end-of-line warble used to annoy the shit out of me and jazz singers generally leave me cold, but, obviously, I feel for her family's loss.
I also gasped...
She was truly gifted, and will be greatly missed.
