I managed to grab the files from her profile page. I'm assuming that these files are copyright free as she's not signed to any record label.
There are four tracks in total:
Jerusalem
Perfect World
Merry Christmas War Is Over
SystemAll four songs are available to download in a single zip file. The tracks are in .mp3 format. The link is an expiring one so please download soon before the link expires.

Lucy Belle got in contact with me and said she'd prefer it if we only provided a link to her myspace page so that you could listen to the songs there. She also wanted to mention that she'd prefer that if people leave comments on her myspace page that you do not mention her parent (Cocteau Twins) as she finds it aggravating to be doing her own work, only to end up in the shadows of her parents.

Stupid question number 1:-
Why hasn't her dad signed her up ?

From what I recall, Robin said that she isn't really interested in focusing on music right now as her career path, but that it may be something she'll consider in the future.

I think her voice is outstanding and I hope she avoids snarky label pollyticks and does her own thing.

Nope music certainly won't be my professional path, the business is far too fucked up to be honest :P but I'll probably keep it as a passtime/hobby

Are you going to be an anime' artist? I like your avvie so I was thinking maybe you are into cool animation.
Happy New Year to you and best of luck in your endeavors, and above all don't take it too seriously... and have fun!
Beautiful voice, great stuff. I love the cover of "So This is Christmas." So pretty.

Sounds really good to me, but you should always do what you want not what you feel as though people expect you to do. With parents as talented as this it must be extremely difficult to cope with the pressure.
Can I say beautiful looking young woman with a pure voice which we sort of lack in British music.
Just have to keep listening to the Cocteau's and Stephanie Dosen then!
Can I add, as a scot to a child of scottish parents, why such an english anthem like Jerusalem apart from it being a great song?
I'd never thought of Jerusalem as being English, only British.

You suprise me Dprid ... the song only mentions England & as you know has been 'adopted' by the English cricket team. Some, notably Billy Bragg, have suggested that the English national anthem is changed from 'Land Of Hope & Glory' (very agressive) to Jerusalem (which is about making the country a better place to live). I totally agree with them.
You're right of course, and I sang it many times when younger, it had just never struck me before for some reason.
BTW the national anthem should the The Archers theme tune.

I should have guessed you'd be a bl**dy Archers fan ... IMO they're no better than Corrie/Eastenders etc
(Red Star quietly exits the thread before Dprid can give chase)

Billy Connolly bet you to it he suggested it about 20 years ago!!!

Where do you think I got the idea - I agreed with him :)
BTW I haven't listened to The Archers since I still lived with my parents - my mother was an avid listener, she says so that she knew what the farmer across the road was doing at the different times of the year.

You girl you just don't know how sweet an brilliant your voice is! With industry or without, doesn't matter, you can just do things with it...
Which makes me think, you take one thing, chew it around for some time and with some little persistence it creates a flow and then turn into passion, and then when it's passion you just don't care about how the statusquo order is--it works and selfarranges itself somehow with integrity. "main" profession or not, yr voice is too special and sweet to start with to completely set it away
or, you be a gummy-bear!

I know I am a little late on this thread, but I have been away for a while.
Is there any chance of being able to download Lucy Belle's tracks?
As it would be good to play on my travels and let others hear her sound

You could try her MySpace page. Usually the jukebox section has an option to download button. Unless she dis- allowed it. But you could try .:D

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have tried that and she has disabled the download button !
Any other ideas would be welcome
She didn't want them shared on here I'm afraid - just via her MySpace page.
