Hello again, username, and a very happy New Year to you!!
Welcome to another issue of 'Hearsay' - the newsletter that promises to keep you
up-to-date on the latest Cocteau Twins & related news.
-----COCTEAU TWINS IN MOJO-----
Cocteau Twins appear in December's issue of Mojo magazine in an article on the best
and worst Christmas songs ever. The Cocteau track "Winter Wonderland" was rated one
of the best and the reviewer wrote - "Never mind When Mama Was Moth, this song will
convince you that Elizabeth Fraser's theremin of a voice was made for Christmas."
-----HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBIN-----
Robin Guthrie just celebrated his 46th birthday on January 4, 2006. If you'd like
to post your birthday wishes for him, here's his birthday thread:
http://www.cocteautwinsforums.com/showthread.php5?t=19351
-----ROBIN GUTHRIE'S WEBLOG-----
Robin has finally updated his online weblog, he hadn't posted since October! Here's
a brief excerpt: "So this is Christmas. I am at the top of a very wobbly ladder in
my garden attaching Christmas lights to a tree. I am 45
years old. I feel like Rod Hull. My cellphone has gone off twice in the last five
minutes, Steve from Heligoland arranging an upcoming session and a text from my
friend Gaelle, who couldn’t possibly know that I am up a
tree but will surely feel bad if I a/ fall off, b/ electrocute myself, c/fall off
while electrocuting myself. Nevertheless this is Christmas and I’ve a very strong
urge, no, need, to hang little lights in my trees and become festive." If you'd
like to read his entire xmas message and post a
reply, you can view the entire entry by viewing this forum thread:
