I'm curious to find out which versions of L2V do most of you have? I think it's safe to say that pretty much everyone bought the 4-disc box set edition when it was first released. How about the separate volume discs, do you have those as well? Or maybe you didn't buy any copies of L2V?

Nope, no completist compulsions here, I bought the 2 volume digipak set a couple of weeks after it came out. I bought it so that I'd have a hard copy of the M&K b-sides and the Snow EP.

i actually missed l2v when it was released in the box set. i think it came out when i was in finals or midterms or seomthing and i wasn't spending time online so i fucking missed it. i have an american promo disc though that my cousin got for free when she was working at an independent local record store and passed on to me.

I'm also curious to know roughly how much money people paid for the original 4-disc digipak box set version........? I paid $42 CDN ($41 US) each for my copies........yes I bought 2, one to keep sealed and one to play. They seem to be rather pricey to buy these days, I suppose it is out of print.

I bought the 4 cd version when it came out. Can't remember how much I paid for it, but it's been well worth it.
I did try to buy Vol I for my nephew last Christmas .... unfortunately by the time he said what he wanted (for me to buy him some interesting music) it was too late to risk buying on the net & all I could find in the shops was Vol II (in 3 different places) ... so he got other artists instead

I have the Box Set. I can't remember the exact price but it was purchased from the 4AD website and I remember being surprised at how reasonable it seemed.
i paid about £17 for the boxset i think.
i contacted 4ad at the time to ask if there would be any posters printed but they said they only produce posters for new work, not reissues or compilations :(
i never managed to get my hands on one of those a5 flyers either (the one pictured in your post mmm). i remember seeing some on ebay at the time of release, did anyone get one of those?
are they legit?

I got the digipacs at Borders (ugh), think they were like 25$ each. Oof. Media nazis.
I bought Vol 1 in digipac and Vol 2 in jewel case, I think. I got them just a few months ago, embarrassed to admit. I prefer vol 2. I used to wonder why many of the singles weren't included in the LPs, but thinking about it, I don't see how a lot of them would have worked. CT albums tend to 'hang' together very well as they are.
I just checked and I have 8 copies of the limited 4cd set, 7 sealed and one with the cellophane carefully opened down the side. I bought 2 when they came out in my local store, then got 2 more from another shop because they had some. I then bought more whenever they came up anywhere at retail price. Didn't realise I had that many though.
I have the limited 4 disc thingummy.
I don't know how much it cost as somebody very kindly bought it for me, when I was having a shitty time.

Someone who obviously has too much money .... I'm disapointed with the Current Mrs Dprid as I thought emptying the joint bank account was the woman's responsibility in a marriage

I am very ashamed.....I only have volume 2 that I bought on Itunes of all places:(....I really wanted the 4 disc limited but funds were limited at the time. I still have the original box set so that will do for now, i guess..
As for dprid...8 COPIES?!?!?....spread the love, yo!!! :)

so that's why I couldn't find any and had to resort to buying the digipak vol1 & 2 releases! :)

oops!
4 disc version from Amazon, the day it came out, don't remember the price.
I must admit I hardly ever play it, though. I'm not too keen on the remastering on these discs (the sonic difference between, say, Pearly and Pepper-Tree or Eggs And Their Shells and Love's Easy Tears is too great for my ears to handle) and I don't particularly like the alternate versions of Pearly and Aikea.
So I usually stick to my own home-made compilation of the original box-set EP's and various other tracks.

I bought the 4-disc edition shortly after it was released. I think I paid around €40 for it but I can't be sure.
