Sometimes, people bang on about Liz this, Liz that, (myself inc.) but there were others in the band. I fell deeply in love with the whole package--the raw base and punky early stuff to the sweeping guitar jangling, multi-layered vocals and instrumentalisations(?) During the years since they split, fans on this forum have talked about all & sundry, & topics do get re-posted or re-hashed, because people come & go, & that's to be expected isn't it?'
And polls can be fun, but some can't be answered because for instance, a 'fave' track for me is what suits my mood at the time.
I was listening to my vol.1 CT comp. in the car on my own, volume up high, singing along in my own way (I'm really not hung up on lyric meaning) with tears running down my face (was feeling low and high by turns??)--I did slow down and compose myself.
They are my favourite band of all time--it's the Cocteaus that I always go back to, more than any other.
Their music has given me profound joy, and can still raise the hairs on my neck.
I'd be delighted to hear of a revival, or new stuff from Liz, but I'm happy to have what I've got.
THANK YOU COCTEAU TWINS xxx

Well said, David.
I'm still listening to them almost every day.

I'm hopeful that Elizabeth will finish and release her album. However even if there is no more new music from her, Cocteau Twins' music has sustained my listening pleasure for nigh on 25 years and I'm nowhere near tired of it. There's also Robin and Simon's respective solo projects to explore - I haven't heard much of it yet - I'm probably missing out out something lovely.

You are not alone. I rarely go a day or two without listening to Cocteau Twins. I seriously never get tired of listening to them and if I'm not (still) trying to decipher the lyrics I'm getting lost in the glorious music itself. Bliss.

So great that we all feel the same way about the Twins!
I guess that's why were all still here on this forum.
Updating my nano ipod today, I have 150 CT songs alone!
And it's now FULL!

I guess I'm not much of a fan. I go months without listening to them.

I don't listen to them daily, I savor them....like a fine wine.
i go through a moment where I would listened to them non-stop and at times give it a break for a day or two. Honestly no other band has ever captured the way they did. New artists come and go...Cocteau Twins is a long lasting love and relief.
Me too. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I continue listening everyday one song minimum! Is like a moment to pray!

I listen to them most days, even if it's only a couple of tracks out of many.

I've been listening to them for 20 years now. It's hardly daily anymore, but sometimes I'm overcome with the urge and absolutely nothing else quite scratches the itch. I hardly ever listen to music with headphones of any kind...since doing so has already hurt my hearing. I like to play it loud on the stereo and let it fill the air.
