Peppermint Pig, hands down. Although I have heard Lorelei in a few goth clubs on occasion, and it always gets me on the dancefloor. Then again, it's extremely rare to hear CT in any club, so I'd dance to Lazy Calm if the DJ played it.

Depends just how drunk I really am.

My group once had in our live repertoire a song using the intro of the second track on Treasure (Lorelei?) as the breakbeat - wayyyy before Puff Daddy started doing it!

another vote for musette and drums from me

i once heard feathers oar blades used as a backing track for a fashion show when i was a student. that was great, real strutty attitude full stuff, haute couture (sic) and high cheekbones.

i dance and (try to) sing to almost any ct song i love. most of them i wouldn't dance in public, at least not yet. you know, the Patrick Swayze kinda dance.. aka dirty dancing ?

current faves are

Multifoiled for me, that jazzy dancebeat and Liz's near scat-like vocals make me wanna do the jitterbug.

A Kissed Out Red Floatboat when I'm drunk and happy.

Persephone when it's dark and there's lots of bumping and sweating.

Seekers Who Are Lovers when someone's in my arms and I can feel her breath on my ears.

There was a Goth/ alternative night called 'Spiders' in London about 10 years that played 'Wax & Wane' for me a couple of times and I danced like a loon, very much a dance floor favourite of mine.
One night as a guest Dj I played 'Musette & Drums' to which one solitary, beautiful couple bespoke in Gothic finery waltzed with wild abandon through dry ice on the dance floor, it was a truly beguiling sight to behold.

Infact, theres a gay alternative night in Vauxhall (London) called Duckie who regularly play 'Iceblink Luck'. They've never played any other Cocteau's track despite many requests but Im not complaining, always a thrill to hear them in a club!

my dancing days are long over (to the likes of the Cocteaus at least) but listening to 'in our angelhood' recently, made me think that it would be a good one to thrash about to:rave:

"most danceable CocteauTwins song"...is that an oxymoron or what? Has anyone here been to a CocteauFest in L.A. ? The facts are you don't stop dancing :)

BBC Sessions' Wax and Wane makes me want to pop my booty.

If I could do that.
