okay.
as i listened to Blue Bell Knoll yesterday, i concluded that the songs on this particular album seem way more joyful and optimistic than the songs on any of the other albums.
anyone else agree with this POV?
and, i can't help but wonder why.......was this perhaps their "happiest" period as friends, and lovers, and collaborators?
or was this their deepest darkest period of interpersonal conflicts and drug addiction?
unusually optimistic art can rise out of either condition, i've noticed.
and, to be sure, Blue Bell Knoll sure seems like one long sonic ecstatic frame-of-mind after another.
were they then happy happy the ever so happiest?
or was all of this sonic joy just a sweet compensation for their ensuing, and on-going difficulties and miseries.......
