Brilliant idea! Do you want us to PM you our set-lists? Or post on this forum thread? Or...is it ok if I work on my set list on the airplane across the pond whilst flying to CTfest? :woo:

That's very difficult - at the risk of sounding facetious, I'd suggest Shuffle cos I like surprises in such cases.
Although I'd probably kick off with Peppermint Pig or Carolyn's Fingers, to get the floor filled.

Excellent choices...I would love to see your set list...if you were going to make one. Maybe hebe would reconsider and allow people with set-lists to also PM them to her, so the night's musical offerings would be a surprise to everyone but her. That would be fun, too. Either way this is a very cool idea to run a set-list contest.
Btw, are you attending CTfest, Fritter? :rave:
greate idea and I will look at putting together a set list (though I can't attend the fest!)
Like Dan, I tend to select "All Cocteau Twins" on my player and set playback to shuffle! but the idea of putting a balanced set together intrigues me ....
what about a "Top 5 Cocteau Twins tracks to take to a desert island" .... sorry, dropped into "Hi-Fidelity" mode there! :D

I can't come to CT fest I'm afraid as I have to work in Brighton that day (unless I make it quite late that night...)
I don't think I could make a playlist of just Cocteau Twins songs, or any single group for that matter; it would be like having 8 platefuls of one's favourite food. Also whenever I DJ'd, it was always on the absolute understanding that in no way was I obliged to make people dance etc. Strictly Early Doors, me :)
Strictly Early Doors, me :)
that WOULD be interesting ..... Cocteau Twins alternating with "The Soft Parade" :D

Ha ha!!! I meant the time of the evening not the band - an ill-chosen expression. The most rockin' I ever got was Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Love Jobim

Well if nobody else wants to "play" then I will. I also was a club DJ and radio DJ as well. So...here's a question for hebe: is it ok if I post a three-part set-list? One would be "Pre-party" when people are still coming in but the room is not packed yet. Second part would be "Party Dance-Mix", when you want people to take to the floor. Then third part would be "Post-Party", when partiers are starting to sit down after lots of dancing and drinking...and you want to make them feel sleepy so they will go home so the club can close for the night.-->[most anything from Lullabies to Vio) :wizard:
Yes Carol
is ok if you post a 3 party list.
good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
