Have a favorite ctblue promotional video?

i went for 'bluebeard' solely for the beautiful celtic imagery and that fact that liz seemed to be really enjoying it.

a toughie, watchlar, because they're all great in their own way. 'aikea guinea' could have made it for my first CT experience all those years ago, but you made me watch most of my faves there just to be sure ;)

fyi - the aikea guinea video was shot in russell mills' apartment.

i picked 'pink orange red' but crushed was a close second. i like the bluebeard video but agree with simon in that liz looks naff climbing into that stupid shell. she does have an amazing outfit on in that video though (right, steve?) oh and i love what she's wearing in the evangeline video too.

It wasn't a promotional video per se, but that special recording of 'Pink Orange Red' (for Voice Box I think) was something very wondrous - I think it surpasses the recorded version and Liz looks like the most beautiful alien.

Aikea Guinea for me as well although Crushed and Song to the siren not far behind for me.

MTV2 played my chosen hour couple of years back which filled in the last gaps i had ;-)

"Aikea-Guinea" has a lovely artistry to it, a warmth and intimacy that most other CT videos lack. It feels genuine. The "Rilkean Dreams" videos from Twinlights had a similar feel to them. So rich.

I really love the "Cico Buff" video, too. I don't know how many people have seen it, but it's really elegant (like the song).

All the videos from "Iceblink Luck" on were very professional, although I'd vote for "Iceblink Luck" and "Heaven or Las Vegas" as being the best of the lot ("Rilkean Dreams" notwithstanding, of course). Liz has such a natural presence on film, like she was born in front of a camera. That quality only seemed to really come out with the HoLV vids. Prior to that, she seemed really shy, especially in the "Carolyn's Fingers" video, where she makes a face at the very end, like "I suppose that was good enough, right?"

i don't really concider "Pink Orange Red" to be a promotional video, since it was made for a TV show... was it "The Tube"

but i would have to say "Aikea Guinea" purely for the artistic value.. but "Cico Buff" is second as i really like the song and like the transitions between liz being left and right at the end to conicide with the part she is singing...

Well, I count 'Pink Orange Red' as a vid, and that's what I voted for, not only coz It's one of my fav tracks, but for the colours.

Have to say though, they all gave GREAT hair in the 'Aikea Guinea' vid ;) and was that their cat ? ...... (these things are relevant ! :tongue: )

"Pink Orange Red" was done for the Tube, and was specially recorded, so it sounds a bit different (more reverb on the guitars I think) but yeah, Aikea Guinea has to win it for the haircuts

Mmm... the video clip I have on my harddisk is Rilkean Heart. Issit the same video or there's part two (aka Half-Gifts) to it?

Anyway, I'm not a music video kind of guy and almost all music videos make no sense to me (Okay, Bjork's an exception. Not that hers make a whole lot of sense but I enjoy watching them), so I don't like them all except for that Rilkean Heart video I mentioned earlier.
