After buying "Heaven or Las Vegas" and Jayne buying me "Treasure" I've suddenly developed "bloodlust" or should I say "Cocteau Lust"?After making my deliveries around South Wales it was getting late I had this urge."I need more".Like a vampire in search of new blood,I rushed back to Bristol to feed my thirst. On entering "Virgin Megastore" I rushed for the "Cocteau Twins" section searching frantically."Nooooooooooooo !!!" Wheres "Bluebell Knoll ??".Bugger.Not one bloody copy .I grab the next best thing.."Four Calendar Cafe"..Still not enough.I'll have "Head over Heels" too and whilst we're here "Stars and Topsoil" should come to the till too.I'm getting out of control by now and head for the DVD section.Bollox ! Nothing ! I assume there is a DVD available ?Tell me..tell me now ..I need to know !!!!!!This craving is turning me into a JUNKY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly no, there is no DVD. Many have tried, including our beloved mmmistress who did a lot of work on it, but nobody has yet suceeded in securing the necessary licencing. The stumbing block I believe has been a certain large record label who quote costs that would make Bill Gates wince and make any DVD project financially unviable.

We all certainly understand 'the lust'. We've ALL been there, I think. ;) Just breathe deeply and think happy thoughts.

Wander ye into the wilderness of the FCC/M&K singles.

Lo, the path is barren and treacherous and many false prophets ye shall have visited upon ye.

And it will come to pass that you find disc one of the "Violaine" set and ye shall cry "O Lord, wherest hast thou stashed disc 2?"

And the Lord shall say unto thee "Get thee to car boot sales and second hand shops. Trawlest thou thru the internet in the dark hours before my divine creation, the sun, once more lights up my land."

And ye shall again cry "Fucking hell, Lord, not even a hint to a good, solid outlet? Or at least a pre-warning of a 'Buy It Now' on E-bay?"

And the Lord shall grin and send demons to plague thee; items on the web shalt be floggedeth ten minutes afore ye call them or sendeth an e-mail; smug fellow fans shalt speak in tongues of tracks thou hast not heard and mock thee. "He hasn't got the yellow 'Tishbite' - what a mockery!" they shall sayest within earshot.

But lo, it shall come to pass that thou ownest what thou believes are all of the Twin Cocteau's earthly releases; then the Lord shalt send more demons, who shalt torment thine earthly soul with talk of bootlegs, the "Black Sessions", live at L'Olympia and the Guildhall sessions.

And this shalt continue for three score years and ten (or until your first round of therapy, whichever is soonest).

Amen.

Phil,

"trawlest thou"? "Fucking hell, Lord"?

BWAHAHA!

That is a powerfully funny post.

...shades of "the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch"

Ummm could you start again at "Wander ye " ?

I don't think so...not without banging my head on a coffee table and seeing visions of the Virgin Mary again.
