Excellent news, must set my VCR. I have the 'Later...' and 'White Room' appearances but nothing else. All my 'The Tube' tapes are Betamax... Doh!
ughh! I only get BBC America! :( Is there any mention of Dali's Car playing this week too?

You mean you won't let them stay up for the late late horror show? ;-)

Stayed up late last night to watch the C.T.'s and was not disappointed. Thought it looked really good. Liz's voice was terrific. Liked the way Simon was 'strumming' the Bass. Always thought having the reel to reel on stage looked cool too. All in all a classic piece of t.v. thankfully now committed to my video collection. The BBC have been pretty good to the C.T.'s recently. I wonder if we could run a petition to them to show a few other gems like the studio set they recorded for a bbc2 show called ''The Late Show'' circa the F.C.C. tour. I remember seeing them do Bluebeard with the full touring band and it was excellent.
Does anyone else remember this or have footage of it ?

I did have footage of this but the cassette was damaged and unplayable after a fire - DOH!
Great to see CT on UK TV again, I agree about bringing back 'The Late Show', they had some superb bands play live (REM, Jane's Addiction, David Byrne etc.), maybe the BBC will stick the highlights onto DVD as they seem to be doing with a lot of their 'cult' programmes.
Robin, do you still have that beautiful Jaguar/Jazzmaster?
I'd happily give my left nut for one of those.
:D

Santeras, as great of a sacrifice giving your left nut would be, I somehow doubt the Robin would have much use for it. Although...., it WOULD look good on a fireplace mantle.... hmmmmmmm..... If Robin doesn't want it, can I have it then? ;)
etc etc

Hey, Santeras and Lucibelle, you two are going to have to get in line behind me on this Jazzmaster thing.....check back to the thread "pitch(fork) the Guthrie" on this forum...I made several attempts to procure said guitar and a few others and made it pretty clear, while not explicitly, that I would part with both nuts (and the stem as well) for that guitar(to date all offers for said guitar have been graciously denied)..but, if Robin would take the two nuts and the stem for that jazzmaster (without the gold hardware....is it anodized?) I am willing to part with my instrument for that instrument.....I will pay for shipping for the trade, my instrument won't cost much to ship as I am no Ron Jeremy, although I have almost as much fur as him and my belly is slowly catching up to 'the real man' of porn!

etc etc - it's all yours buddy. Even though sex is just something I hear other people talking about these days, I am holding onto my other nut (and the proud stem it services) on the off chance I trip over a blind and somewhat desperate female who needs medical assistance of an intimate nature.
Oh fuck it, take 'em both. Just let me strum the damn thing once. (the guitar, not ....blah, blah)
And yes, the hardware should be anodised not plated. *geek mode on*
