Are you saying they will NOT ship to Chile?
I live in the USA, and my copy just arrived a few days ago.

I'm sure there may be a problem with the mail. I know Darla shipped to their customers when they first got the cds.
These problems wouldn't happen if you ordered directly from my website as I usually deliver them in person and make you lunch into the bargain. *
Also, rather importantly, if you buy directly from my website, the 50% retail markup, which usually goes to the record stores goes to the 'make enough money to record another album fund' or more realistically, the 'buy my family food' fund.
Keeping the retail markup in mind, it would seem that selling cds these days is a fast buck for retailers resulting in even less for the artist.
Do the math. If amazon.co.uk can sell Cocteau Twins cds for £4.27 (with free postage) then it simply isn't bringing us anything.
However there are many other little snouts feeding from the trough who will divvy up that £4.27 between them with little regard for the artists or, sadly, the value of the music contained on the disc.
How much more juice can be squeezed out of the orange?
Sorry, I know you guys have heard this before, I didn't mean to get started, it just came when I started typing .. I should point out that I am in good humour. It's just that this business is so very undignified and tiring.
Anyway going back to the mail order thing, you can find Bordeaux and a whole bunch of other fine stuff with my name on it at my website.

Robin, you forgot to mention the other side-benefits of ordering directly from your website:
1. Free album-themed postcards with every order.
2. The chance of receiving a (most unexpected) handwritten Christmas card next Christmastime.
3. The occasional personalized note (always extremely polite and professional) from your wife.
As always, terms and conditions apply.

darla: CD costs 12$ = 36 PLN (including s&h 56 PLN)
robinguthrie.com: CD costs 13 EUR = 52 PLN (including s&h 66 PLN)
reading how this business works - I think it's worth to pay extra 10 PLN
