If you could add one single item to your Cocteau Twins music collection, any item you wanted, what would it be?

Me--The Box Set (cuz I can't afford it right now) and those nonexistant "Carolyn's Fingers" promotional nail clippers would be nice...hehe...

Does the unfinished album count? Or how about a live CD? Maybe the 'Black Sessions?'' Or an album of outtakes and demos?
Alright, I would like the 12" single of 'Heaven or Las Vegas' since I love the artwork.

I used to have a picture vinyl 12" interview disk, featuring pictures of the band on each side. This was very early Cocteau Twins, where all three are sporting Robert Smith hairstyles. I gave this item to a very close and dear friend of mine who loves the Twins every bit as much as I do, but if I could, I'd like to have it back.

just off the top of my head, I remember on this interview disk, Liz talking about how Americans drove their cars everywhere they went, even if it was 'down the fucking block'. actually, the word 'fuck' and its varients were used quite frequently.

Due to some really excellent CD outlets and the generosity of some rather nice people on here, the only stuff I'd want would be purely from a "complete the collection" angle, so I'm a bit limited. "Taste Of Milk And Kisses", perhaps.

Reminds me of the old joke (and you can't stop me if you've heard it already):

Guy walks into his doctor's office with a steering wheel on his dangler.

"When did this happen?" enquires his doctor.

"I dunno," says the guy, "but it's driving me nuts."

(Probably better if you read it in a Brit accent...like Dick Van Dyke in "Mary Poppins")

Great joke...reminds me a bit of the one Uma Thurman told in Pulp Fiction about the tomato who got squashed b/c he couldn't "ketchup."

And actually, I'm more interested in collecting CT music than the various apparatuses that it is contained on, so I want the Box Set only for the music on it. I never go for stuff in vinyl or cassette format or rare promotional stuff that they only pressed a hundred copies of b/c it's the music that I'm interested in, not the item. I guess that would make me a pseudo-collector, eh?

But of course, if I ever got my hands on anything like that inadvertantly, you know I'd keep it....

my wish-item would be the 1" button I used to wear on my new wave self in the eighties

it was green and had the CT logo from Treasure in blue

I have alot of vintage band buttons but I have NEVER seen that one again

If you want to get your mitts on the contents of the box set, the majority of it is available thru the Bella Union on-line store.

You can access this thru the official site at www.cocteatwins.com . They're fairly cheap, so you can amass most of the box's contents for about what you'd pay for the whole shooting match.

Hope this helps.
