you have to admit that some of the absolute best chord changes EVER can be found in cocteau twins songs. agree or disagree? personally, i find the chord changes in both 'summerhead' and 'squeeze wax' to be near orgasmic!! also, is it safe to assume that these were played by guthrie or was raymonde at the axe? do you have any specific faves?

Lorelei was the same effect on me...after the show in San diego we hung out back by the stage door and Liz came out and did some signings and photos...there were only like 11 people or so.

Someone mentioned to her that there must be sooo many children conceived to CT 'cause it is such moving music. I chimed in and said it thought it orgasamic and angelic...she seem to like that. Another person told all of us about a friend who was dying of Aids in a hospital and had died to CT playing on a small boombox. God, that made all of us cry!

I don't know anything about musical structure but i do like the way all CT songs are done. Some are so dark and heavy and others are sublime. I think when I die, the one thing I will miss the most is music.

I just love it when towards the end of 'ray of light' the music stops (except a guitar) and she sings "zephyr in the sky at night I wonder, do my tears...'...oh, wait...what is this place again?

the chord changes in victorialand are most devastating

The argeggio which opens and echoes through 'Flagstones' is a sublime mystery that raises my neck hair to this day.

G and A7, isn't it? I've never played it, but I'll try it tonight and let you know in the morning.

Unless Guthers is lurking and can save me a job.

actually, i love the harp and have often dreamed of liz performing a small and intimate secret gig, featuring new arrangements from victorialand (i reckon 'throughout the dark months' would work especially well) with a harpist on a bare stage.

call me a romantic fool, but if you don't dream, reality just keeps getting you down.
