Has a bit of a MBV sound to it! I'm curious how did you do it (like, what did you play and what did you sample from the original and process?)

Not totally sure what MBV sound is.. but I recorded most of the guitar parts, working with a live version of it to base it on, and then spliced in parts of the song. I don't really know what it is I've made, it's not a remix, or a cover, or anything really original. I enjoyed making it though, I hope you enjoyed my MBV sound ;D

i'd call it a remix....and, quite an original one, at that!
the original beat is quite obliterated, but dammmmit who cares.
what is left is quite captivating.
kudos!

interestingly, both bands came of age around the same time.
of course, back in those days something called "grunge" was all the rage in the USA.

oh, and I didn't read your question properly from before:
I recorded various versions of the vocals, I basically recorded versions of everything I could hear except the drums. What you hear at the start is pretty much close to what I play throughout when the track comes in.

thank you very much
I clicked on your page and found lots of cool stuff. I like the Feathers Oar Blades and all the links to the MBV nerds who deciphered the weird tunings.
Stick around , ok?
