I just watched a handful of this guy's videos:

I never realized how much was going on with Simon's bass playing. I'm certain now his wallet says BAD MOTHER FUCKER.

yes, that and Iceblink Luck is another bass line that blows me a away. By common bassist standards, his style was/is probablhy viewed as hack playing. Lots of strumming of unusual chords and with phaser and other effects, but I love it.

let's not forget his many talents on the keyboards.

the guy was in all ways versatile.

sorely underrated.

a hero of mine.....i often regret being so critical of his music business acumen in this forum.

Blame Someone Else shows he's no slouch when it comes to conjuring lovely guitar moments.

I remember playing 'Ribbed & Veined' for my brother years ago when he was playing bass and going to music school and he said something like : 'damn that guy's playing it like a whale!'
