I don't remember which day the 'aborted tour' was. I know it was Ybor City in Florida and I'm pretty sure it was 1994. Someone else here had gone to it...I'll have to research...

i saw them at the Sadler's Wells theatre in London. i don't know the exact date, sorry. but it was an early-days gig.. just robin liz and the reel-to-reel. pretty sure it was a HOH tour.

maybe someone else can fill in the other details.

on Oct. 12, 1990 they played at 'Musikhalle' in Hamburg, Germany. the Cologne entry for that date is incorrect.

I love this page. The Seattle 96 show needs an audio bootleg icon. It would be nice to add links to set lists (where available) and cover art (where available).

March 16, 1991 Toronto - typo, should be 1994

i thought that i had offered some comments on this at one point, but they don't appear in the thread. eerie...

anyway, here is some info, starting at the bottom:
1996: I have audio recordings for the Roskilde Fest, 20 June in Seattle, Milan Italy, Paris France (a 2 CD set for some reason), Royal Albert Hall (8 May), 11 Apr Greater London Radio in studio performance. also, i have a bootleg of the Twins appearing on "Modern Rock Live", an American Radio Show, on 25.June.1996. on the show, it talks about how they are in the LA Studio, so i guess that the three of them were still in LA.

1994: I have a tape of the Honolulu show, with a date listed as 11.June.1994. i also have a CD of the Atlanta show, which was on 4.March.94. Pearly Pink and White, 28 Feb 94, was recorded at Tulane University, not Julane. I also have recordings of Utrecht 1 Feb and Paris 29 Jan.

1991: i have a show that is not on your list: 1.April at The Towson Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

1990: i have a date of 24 Nov on my cassette of the Detroit show. i have boots of the following shows: Hollywood, Detroit, Nijmegan, Liverpool, Brixton 3 Nov, London Town and Country (which i have listed as 2 Nov), Paris 23 Oct, Brussels 6 Oct. i also have a recording that i do not know the date of, but it was in 1990 at Musikhalle in Hamburg, Germany.

1986: Boots i have that are not indicated on your list: Nottingham, Paris (i have both the 3rd and the 4th). some that aren't even listed: 4.April.1986 Paris, FR and 21.April.86 Birmingham, UK. it is possible that somehow the dates have gotten terribly wrong on these, but they do sound like they are from the correct era...

1985: boots i have that don't have an icon on your list: Berlin 31 Jan, San Francisco 17 Sept.

1984: boots i have that don't have an icon on your list: Oxford 16 Dec, Oslo 30 Oct, Birmingham 17 Apr, London 26 Feb. and i have a completely different date for the Royal Festival Hall show of that year -- 8/4. i dunno is that is an American 4 August or a European 8 April...

1983: boots i have that don't have an icon on your list: Glasgow Night Moves 9 Dec, Manchester 8 Dec, Paris 9 Nov, Apeldoorn on 4 Nov (sandwiched in the middle of the dates you propose).

1982: i have a boot of the Victoria performance on 16 Nov.

of course, as a tape trader, sometimes i know that the dates on boots get confused. so take any of this with a grain or two of salt...

Postlibyan - All I can say is WOW!!!

I would love to have even half of that. I love listening to live stuff. I disregard any bad quality in sound and audience distraction. I think it just adds to the feel of the show.

I love the fact they played in Honolulu, and I hope they had a good time - there's more to being in a band than promoting records.

It would be really nice if there was a facility to submit setlists, and to rate bootleg recordings of live shows somewhere on the site, too.

I'm sure that this could become a valuable resource.

Feel free to add them here - I'm sure leesa will use them to update the gigography at some point :) As for rating and reviewing bootlegs and the like, well there are plenty of threads on here that cover this area, although I don't think there's ever been a 'rate my bootleg' thread as such. Again though, if you post it then others will join in :)

Just some typos and places correctly spelled:

January 1, 1983 Amsterdam, Netherlands, Paradiso (in stead of Paradise)
January 26, 1983 Nijmegen, Netherlands, De Vereeniging (in stead of Vereening)
January 29, 1983 Amsterdam, Netherlands, De Meervaart (in stead of Meervant)
November 1, 1983 Nijmegen, Netherlands, De Vereeniging

This one is peculiar:
January 30, 1983 Rotterdam, Netherlands, Rotterdam Arena
I personally never heard of this venue, but then again it is more than 20 years ago.
However my guess is, that Ahoy Rotterdam is meant here.

From http://www.cocteautwins.co.uk/home/index.htm:

http://www.mcilwaine12.utvinternet.com/ctuk/archive/bootlegs.htm

Does anyone have the set list for the Black Sessions 1995 (French Radio COncert 22-12-95 . 2000) show? This is the show that includes Songs to the Siren, h**p://www.cocteautwins.com/html/media/audio/song_to_the_siren_live.mp3.

I think Black Sessions 95 is the set for the mislabeled Seattle 96 stuff I have. RE. Set List Question thread, http://www.cocteautwinsforums.com/showthread.php?t=9547.

Thanks for the help.

October 30, 1990 show at Bristol Studio did indeed take place, as I was there. Noticed the ladies from Lush in the audience too.

I emailed 4AD various scans of ticket stubs, including this - but they've yet to upload them on 4ad.com site

march 19, 1994 is not salt lake city - i was there, it was newport music hall, columbus ohio. there is another gig missing from columbus ohio, at the palace theater, with galaxie 500, i just don't remember if it was the end of 1990 or 1991, I wasn't there :(

Thanks eboe
I've added the details - I've put the unknown second date as 1991 for the moment, as Cocteaus toured the US in March/April with Galaxie 500, although their website http://www.grange85.co.uk/galaxie/index.php?artist_id=1&shows=yes&year=1991 also doesn't list a gig in Columbus, so can't be firmer.
