View Full Version : CT and Porridge
Does anyone ever have a strange compulsive desire to eat a bowl of porridge while listening to The 'Teaus? Perhaps something to do with them coming from Scotland or something.
I always sprinkle salt on mine. 'Mother Nature's vomit' just wouldn't be the same without.

"Serpentskirt" makes me crave jellied eels, whilst "High Monkey Monk" produces a yearning for minced capuchin and olives.

I'm pleased I don't wake up in your bedroom in the morning.

no but Frou-Frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires always makes me bob my head uncontrollably like an autistic 3rd grader.
I like to smear soggy corn flakes all over my naked body while listening to FCC...

No but, I do have strong desires to tie up dwarves with panty hose and toss burnt TupperWare lids at them. I might add this only happens when I hear "Glass Candle Grenades"

roflmao You too?
Yeah, "that" Pixie already chose to leave the "forest" ...I know you're right and I agree. I don't know what came over me, but when I saw common grounds...I just shared with in-depth how I identified...often opening up and revealing too much.
I don't necessaily feel like the dork in the roller rink that doesn't know how to skate...but I shall just keep more to myself. roflmao It's not like I'm running some psychology or a spiritual retreat here nor have I been forced to participate and to tell all in threads that similarly partake as in the game of truth or dare
Catch you later

Did I miss something? Is it just me, or does Pixie's post seem totally non-sequitur?
Is the list suffering database disease again?

Mother Nature's Vomit?! Erk!
In Korea, they make a unique porridge out of creamed pine nuts. Me mum used to cook it up when we was sick.
"Teaus"? Like "Camel Teaus"?

what the hell is porridge anywho???
...beyond allusions in fairy tale stories I heard growing up, I don't think I would recognize porridge if it were in front of me. Is it a UK (and Korea) thing?

Sort of a Scottish breakfasty thingy. Oats.
Donkeys like to eat them too. In fact there was a famous book called 'Donkey Oaty'.

In the USA, it's more-or-less analogous to: oatmeal, cream of wheat, etc. Call it "hot cereal"...just don't call it "mother nature's vomit", please. Blech.

Also, (assuming you didn't know this already) an old Scottish word for porridge is "brose", as in "Athol Brose"
