Anybody else out there think A R Kane's Lollita is the best non-CT Guthrie production? What else has he produced (apart from Felt's Primitive Painters ...)?

When was this released? It seems strangely absent from my AR Kane collection.

I think 1987 - 12" single with 2 other wonderful tracks which I've forgotten the name of - on 4AD - I have it at home so could look up details if you want.
There is a cover shot on the bellaunion.com/robin link that leesa directed me to. I also have the 12" of Primitive Painters by Felt (and, incidentally, a copy of Lowlife's Diminuendo that I had completely forgotten about until last night while trawling through my vinyl!)
Also, I think I need to reword what I said at the beginning of the thread - Lollita is the best track I've heard, but from the evidence I need to do a hell of a lot more listening! However, if anyone out there hasn't heard Lollita - it really is a must ... there is a really sublime moment where it mutates into what I can only describe as a glacial slab of almost white noise. I did a search on the forum on leesa's suggestion yesterday but couldn't find a previous mention of the track?

Sal - I definitely don't have this. Do you know if it's available on CD?

Here's some more details:
A.R. Kane: Lollita
12" 1987 UK (4AD Records; BAD 704)
Lollita
Sado-masochism Is A Must
Butterfly Collector
To be honest I've no idea about a CD release, but just did a quick Google check and couldn't find any info on this ...

Ta for looking Sal.
There's an AR Kane 'Remixes' CD so I'll see if it crops up on that.
No, I don't think it's available on CD, though it's one of a number of deleted 4AD EPs that folks on the 4AD forum have been bugging jo (mojo on the CT forum) to either get re-released as a CDEP, or included on a comp of long out of print 4AD EPs.

coincidentally, two of A.R. Kane's albums were just rereleased by One Little Indian. you can read a review on PitchforkMedia (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/a/ar-kane/69-i.shtml).
here is a tantalizing snippet: " Though hugely influenced by the Cocteau Twins' mid-80s peak, 69 drew equally from dub's disregard for sonic structure, disappearing into distant echoes that strikingly predict the succulent Seefeel."
good mention Salbiez!

Also, I just remembered - the AR Kane & Colourbox track on the B-side of Pump Up the Volume is also v. cool (trying to find it ...) - just listened to the Lollita ep again, and your right postlibyan - Butterfly Collector is awesome.
