I know this sounds like a goofy topic, but I am curious about which one of the cocteau twins people like the most.

I must say that Robin has to be my favorite. Aside from being a cute little teddy bear, it seems that everything he touches musically is gold. I think that he has created the most unique and beatiful sound in the history of music.

I just want to pinch his cheeks!

If we could limit it to our favorite three members, it would be much easier!

Choosing just one is impossible, because Robin created the music and Liz created the wonderfully beautiful vocals and enigmatic lyrics. I cannot imagine one without the other. . .

I think you're all missing the impact Simon Raymonde had on the band. Whilst "Head Over Heels" is a great album and showed a shift away from the post-punk sound of "Garlands", the CT "sound" was only really born when he joined the band, as demonstrated in the first Fraser/Guthrie/Raymonde composition.

Yes, they're now officially known as kids, after a long tussle with the Office Of Patents.

No fav member for me...I like CT, period. Good point though Phil, I recall a mention of SR bringing some production experience to the table and contributing not just musically but in a sound production sense, helping RG realize much more spacious mixes etc(anyone know more about how this played out more in the beginning?)...a synergy I suppose, as RG already had an experimental inclination. That coupled with Liz's singing and there you have it.... celestial music.

Glad we got that cleared up! : )

I remember reading an interview with Simon and Robin in a recording techy magazine. Seemed like both chaps were responsible for production duties: during Heaven and FCC they were working in shifts... Simon did some guitar too, and all the keyboard programming, both guys did sampling and mixing / eq.
