Simon
Even though I love "the Tottenham" (since we did Chelsea in the 1967 Cup Final), there really is no excuse for writing a football song.
Chas and Dave, Simon........Chas and Dave.

i was cajoled into it, and young and foolish, and hey...it's not a 'football song', it's art about the artistic spirit of THFC....

Nice try, Simon....but I sentence you to three weeks of being boot-boy....and four weeks of being Marine Boy.
Talking of doing Chelsea, though, we should have beaten those cosmopolitan fops at the weekend - did you see Redknapp's free kick? Lordy-dordy.

Oddly enough, someone is also selling a rare promo Lillies t-shirt on ebay.....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THE-LILLIES-Cocteau-Twins-Lush-4AD-Moose-T-SHIRT-XL-NEW_W0QQitemZ160255087950QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item1 60255087950&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A10&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
THE LILLIES
T-SHIRT
“And David Seaman Will Be Very Disappointed About That…”
DESIGN: 'Spur' | LABEL: Screen Stars | MATERIAL: 94% cotton, 6% polyester | SLEEVES: Short | CONDITION: New!
SIZE: XL.
(Pit to pit: 22" / Collar to cuff: 15" / Pit to cuff: 6.5" / Front collar to waist: 27.5" / Back collar to tail: 31.5")
WHY I AM SELLING:
"This summer on eBay, I am auctioning the T-shirts I designed for 'Spur' in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
In particular, I am auctioning the shirts I kept back for myself. The T-shirts are not reprints. They are unworn and mint."THE DESIGN:"The front shows the artwork for the sleeve intended to house the flexi disc. Due to time and cost, though, the sleeve had to be scrapped.
The back of the shirt shows the title of the track in the artwork's typeface."
THE ITEM:
Much much rarer than the flexi disc, this is an especially sought-after and original garment. It is not a reprint or bootleg.
Collectors of 4AD, Cocteau Twins, Lush, Moose and Tottenham Hotspur / Spurs have been attempting to track it down for years.
Seventeen years on, today it would be virtually impossible to get hold of one of these shirts in this condition. This is the LAST OF TWO Lillies T-shirts I am auctioning.
THE LILLIES:
THE ARTISTS:
Simon Raymonde, Cocteau Twins (guitars, drums) 4AD
Chris Acland, Lush (additional percussion) 4AD
Miki Berenyi, Lush (vocals) 4AD
Kevin McKillop, Moose (additional guitar) Hut
Russell Yates, Moose (additional guitar) Hut
THE TRACK:
“And David Seaman Will Be Very Disappointed About That…”
(Raymonde)
The Lillies
Cockadoodle Records (COCK 01)
THE STORY:
The band --- made up of Tottenham-supporting musicians --- named itself THE LILLIES.
The recording was made to celebrate Spurs' 1991 FA Cup win (and in particular the semi-final victory over north London rivals, Arsenal).
It was given away free with the September 1991 issue of 'Spur' magazine.
Ciao!
On the Miki Berenji my space you can listen to this track!
