Hello,
I am listening to half-gifts and numeralia's interpretation of the classic, oomingmak. I am noticing that they're reproduction of phonetics match very well to the origional, yet I also think I am hearing some actual words that may or may not have been in the origional. Does anyone out there know if they have lyrics for their version or if they are what Liz created out of her own cute little mind? Either way, kudos to numralia for doing such a great job!
Thanks!

PS If there are lyrics, know where I can get em?

I love that cover version. Sometimes I think I like it better than the original (oooh! Sacrilege!). I don't know the lyrics but when I find myself singing along to the last bit it comes out something like in the promise and the silence of your lovely letter. Gibberish but who cares.

I'm not so sure about being better than the origional. Infact, I have to say, no. Anyway, I think I hear something similar.... "In the promise of the silence, do I love you like that?" It is quite ingeneous for them to be able to phoneticize like the origional but also add their own "real words" to a classic.

liz actually quotes the lyrics to 'oomingmak' during a radio interview interview during national poetry week and admits she doesn't know what they mean. the fucktard interviewer asks how liz remembers what she's singing. liz handles the doofus admirably before the fucktard introduces the lovely marc riley (aka Lard) who seduces liz and maybe fathers the new version of the osmonds (the rileys) with her (that may just be a dream)
