Does anyone ever subconsciously start whistling Cocteau Twins tunes whilst going about their day to day business? Do you have a regular/favourite? I always start whistling Serpentskirt for some reason. I don't even particularly like it and I haven't listened to it for ages. Weird.

On the subject of whistling:

Thanks for that link Sean - some good stuff on that page. I particularly like the !!! mash up as that was one of my favourite songs of last year :)
i always find myself whistling rilkean heart.
Long ago when I was a milkman, whistling 'My Cock's On Fire' by Whitehouse would get me through the early morning round, fingers cheesy from the empty bottles.
This happens to me all the time. I find myself humming or singing or whistling "Summerhead," "Violaine" or "Tishbite." Random, I know, as those aren't, like, my favorite, favorite songs or anything (although I do worship "Summerhead"). I also find myself humming "Serpentskirt" from time to time. What is it about Milk & Kisses??? Weird.

Blue Bell Knoll is the CT song I whistle most often.

Yes, this does happen to me. I find that usually, it's my LEAST favorite songs (e.g. stuff from Twinlights) Madonna haunts me as much as anything. Call it a minor curse. My subconscious mind is my enemy.
For me, it's usually The Spangle Maker.

perhaps it's all those childish melodies, reminding listeners about nursery rhymes and childhood songs. forgive me but m&k is my least fave cocteau album and i do think a lot of the tracks are far too simplistic to stomach.
*ducking*
