Just where the heck is Liz nowdays? Does anyone know? Does she tour? I apologize...I know I'm out of the loop, but am clueless about such things really.

No, she does not perform in public that we are aware of. The last publicity about her was probably when she recorded a piece for the Shhhh! exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and as I recall the blurb that accompanied it suggested she was concentrating on art rather than singing.
She lives in Bristol, England and has been spotted a few times out and about.

Spotted out and about ? By whom ? I think I've missed something there.

Someone spotted her at Bristol Station, and someone else down the supermarket as I recall. I didn't mean out and about performing!

Wow, I can't imagine her not singing. I wonder if age is causing her voice to change and she can't sing like she used to. It happens.

Hello.. what about "At last I am free" and "The lord of the rings" soundtrack songs? I doubt Liz has lost her voice since 2003? I think she still sounds brilliant! ballerina

Well yeah, but when those two examples represent the majority of her recorded output for several years, it's fair to say that singing is not her main focus these days. Too bad, that.

At this point, I've got higher hopes for her daughter recording a solo record. Reportedly, she's inherited her mother's pipes.

She sang in the Lord of the Rings soundtrack? Hmmm, didn't know that. And I've never heard of "At Last I am Free". Where is that? I want to hear it.

And I've never heard of "At Last I am Free". Where is that? I want to hear it.

it's on the 25th anniversary compilation from Rough Trade Records, called "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before".

here is an amazon link (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000CABIW/qid=1107186695/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-3907365-7461535?v=glance&s=music)

it's a decent comp, and the song is okay.
