ever wondered what they might have sounded like with a horn section? say, a trio of sax's.

if fact.......did they ever?

I sometimes wish they had used sax more...it was used on, what only four songs?

.....just wondering....are there horns on "i wear your ring",
or is that just the usual guthrie production wizardry?
sounds a bit like weird french horns.

 Z.

Yeah the sax in 'she will destroy you' rocks, but I think they used horns only when needed, I personally wouldn't want it full time. At least they think out of the box.

Zed, You mean the instrumental bridge I assume in 'I wear your ring', I would guess that it is keyboard.

heh...no I'm not sure...poke poke...that's why it is a guess ;)

I'd love to see Simon pop in and say 'no that was a guitar' as he did with Fifty-Fifty Clown, those chimey keyboard sounding chords that were Simon playing the guitar...(through the harmonizer I would guess)..those chords sound soooo cool, I always loved that song anyway, more for the sound and feeling than any sort of structure it may or may not have...

...yeah, Scott, no matter how great the structure of they're music was..it was always the feeling!

even if the french horns was a tape of a train run backwards or something! lol!

z. Speaking of this, I just downloaded a cool free Reason Refill of different subway sounds and such. Nice recordings too, I might add. I don't know how I'll use them just yet, but I'm sure having fun thinking about it! ;)

Luci: So I guess you had no trouble keeping yourself entertained as a kid...or as adult...I have daydreams of great music...not a clue how I'd do it, but boy it sounds neat in my head ;)
