 I am so stoked that he was only 20 meters from me. And playing my most influencial music by my most influential artist.

Totally awesome show! I tripped out on how I imagined, "how does he do that?" Now I know the way Robin Guthrie uses his affects. This affects with several bypasses foot buttons to a grand affect rack off stage or underneath his affect control board that was covered in black that he was playing next to. I knew that there must be a punch in for that, otherwise, if he started a song with guitar there is no way to predict when the percussion would kick in, unless he had a ticker or rhythm light telling the number of measures, or a sample to punch in at the right time. I knew that he used a digital sampler with a bypass foot switch to punch the beginning of a riff played twice and punch it again to loop the riff in rhythm. Robin would punch the bypass and a digital loop/sampler of what he had previously played, consistently adding to his previously played riffs to create a continuous layering of the looped samples. Making him a one man band for whatever is desired in his work.

Robin was in a good mood. It was funny when he swung the boomed microphone away from him.

I also bought a Robin Guthrie, Lumiere shirt!!!

Did anyone recognize me? I couldn't find anyone from this Forum by face.

I had a silk gray button up with white stripes going down the left and right of the front of the shirt with tribal designs in the white stripes.

I thought I saw you, but didn't get a chance to introduce myself. Too much going on; sensory overload. Flying guitars and all that.

Actually, I had thought that she threw her guitar in anger (and she scared me a little), but was assured later that it was just a joke/stunt. I met Valerie (the guitar flinger) at the valet stand later that night, and she seemed pleasant and mild-mannered.

Wild night!

Were you the guy that was bumming cigarettes from me?

No.

I was the guy kneeling at the base of the stage right at the end of the show.
