:) This may have been mentioned elsewhere (sorry) but ............

just let UK peeps know that this months Uncut magazine contains the Felt / Liz duet on the free Peel festive 50 cd that comes with it (as well as the Robert Wyatt version of shipbuilding - reason enough to get it). Enjoy! :)

Is it the original track from the Felt album or a Peel Session?

Thanks for the tip - I keep meaning to buy the Wyatt album with Shipbuilding on it but it's a box set of CD singles that's about £25. Still there's always 'Biko' and 'I'm A Believer'

It's a pretty good song, but no need to go out and buy Uncut now since I already have the Felt album.

Well, not unless there are some good articles in it. Are there any?

Well the fact the disk also includes Where's Captain Kirk by Spizzenergi, Birthday by Sugarcubes and Shipbuilding by Robery Wyatt makes it worthwhile getting.

I completely failed to get it today having trawled most of the (admittedly) small newsagents in north shropshire, looks like i'll have to head into a town tomorrow to search it out!

Props to Cico for the heads up (really don't need to read any more Smiths soap opera, so ignored the mag). The Woodentops' Well Well Well was a student anthem, and I recall Primitive Painters being no1 in NME Indie Chart for an eternity, but never heard it.

What month was this issue? The issue I found in the US today had the Bowie cover and a best of 2005 bonus CD -- did this preceed or come after the issue in question?
