Joyeux anniversaire, voisin.

J'espère que vos déboires avec France Telecom ne vous accompagneront pas en 2006. Merci pour la très belle musique de Mysterious Skin

Tous mes voeux de bonheur.

To my first serious crush (from the age of 12 to present day), and the man who ultimately was the first to break my heart when I realized he wasn't saving himself for me as well...

Happy birthday Robin, many happy returns.

Happy Birthday Robin,

I have some photos and audio from your 2005 shows in the US (not Continental) that I would like to post here with your permission. If not, I will hold them to my grave.

Have a wonderful new year,

Dan

I hate those old toggle buttons. They make a big "pop" noise amplified with the work when you hit them.

No kiddidng here, either!! I was scrolling the new posts page, and was certain i saw his name (bts) against one of the threads as i moved away from the page. When i went back i couldn't find it. I'm glad i'm not hallucinating! The big blue elephant sat next to me saw it too, i tell ya.

So, do we have a haunting in Cocteau Towers??

Just wanted to use that smiley while i'm here.

I think it might. It might be that he doesn't give a damn that it's his birthday, or that particular post. It is kind of offending.

It's not attached to the post. It didn't pass to the post when I reply.

The "Do I give a damned" fake download is not attached to message #20. I messed up on the post # for the post with this odd hack. It's #20.

because it didn't fallow the message when I quoted in the reply . So the hack is not attached to that particular post.

Are you talking about the animation JohnnyV has as his signature??
Signatures do not get copied into quotes as they are a generic attachment to the posts you make rather than part of the post. This means that your current signature will always appear on every post you ever made whenever anybody views one of them. Johnny's current sig does not therefore specifically refer to this particular thread about Robin's birthday.

... for your sometimes kind, sometimes confusing birthday wishes. I'm sorry I've not been around here for a while as I've been... elsewhere. Truth is I would have said thanks earlier but I couldn't log in. Anyway being 44 is very nice. Young people stand up to give me a seat on the bus now....

It finally happened. I was in an Ace Hardware store last week. As I walked out I looked at my receipt. They gave me the 10% senior citizen discount. I'm 48. It seems like only yesterday that I was a young guy buying Cocteau Twins records at the mall.

whatistrue
Jan-31-06, 2:17 PM
Yes! Seems like yesterday circa 1984-86 I was buying CT at various places around Purdue University here in America's heartland. (I'm trying to sell/give away many of my few lp's now, but I will not ever part with Cocteau Twins vinyl).
My lp of "Treasure" is framed - it represents a sea change in my outlook toward music at age 21.
Mem-o-reees!
I turned 43 last September. Not too fond of it, but 2005 was a bad year for me.

P.S.
Cheers, Robin, and THANKS.
We are contemporaries in age.
Cool yet sentimental.
My darling daughter is 6, and she's getting into Cocteau Twins.
She thinks the band is "new" (it is to HER!) and she wants to go see them!
So do I! At least I did once, in Chicago.
I tell her that, though band members are still making music, Cocteau Twins are no more, and the members are daddy's age.
