Default Song To The Siren (Live) on YouTube

I don't know if this particular preformance has been shown here before, but I just love this one:
Liz's voice is just crystal clear....

yes, that is a great performance; however Orange Appled is just perfect.

Wow, that is definitely one of the better ones! Liz seems to be enjoying herself so much in that clip. I wonder if she misses preforming live.... I probably would.

I'm sure this has been posted a bunch before too, BUT this is one of my favorites...This helped me to finally figure out how to play this damn song, it plagued me for ages.

It's been a long time since I really listened to Song to the Siren and gave it my full attention. I just usually take it for granted, but that live version was like hearing it for the first time. The way Liz sang it, gently and without affectation, made the song feel more intimate and tender. I love the old it'll end in tears version, but that live performance is a special treat. Thanks for posting that!

Damn! I can't dowload the Orange-Appled video. When I try to copy it from Youtube it says the URL doesn't contain a video file.

I love this version. Its better than the studio version.

Can anyone help?

Cancel the last. I managed to extract the video and create a nice little mp3, editing out the annoying intro.

Cheers

I don't know about this particular version, but you might want to check out the MP3-Swept column. Just scroll up and click cocteautwinsforums.com, then scroll down until you see MP3-Swept-Dials, and click on that. There are many live recordings that Leesa has prepared for download there. You are sure to find something to your liking. Some are restricted for special membership, but some are open to all. Good luck.

For those of you who haven't seen it:

I loved Snub TV when it was on.. there's been nothing quite as good as it since on UK TV, in terms of showcasing indie music (at least in my humble opinion)

I didn't recall the live version of Orange Appled though; was great to see it, thanks for posting it!!

And Song To The Siren, the live version is just fabulous too, and is indeed so evocative of that era.

I'm more shocked at the fact that Tim Buckley appeared on the Monkees tv show!

i have very few regrets in my life.....but never seeing Elizabeth Fraser sing either of these to two amazing songs (or any others) live in concert must count among them.

thank you for reminding me.

It's great to have been so close to so many geniuses...
Goodness, beardy, earnest young dead geniuses, record company guru geniuses, angel voiced geniuses (no dispute there), poets, Shakespeare, Homer and Pat Fucking Boone.
Anyway, it's nice to be remembered as the dickhead who was forced to wear a trenchcoat. Nice to be reminded about Thompson Holidays Commercial, David Lynch movies, the half million sales and the countless other exploitations of my work which go unrewarded. Hundred quid boxset? Really? I mean, really?
Ah, well, a small price to pay for knowing geniuses, I guess.
I'm guessing the cheque got lost in the post.
oh, and it wasn't my trenchcoat btw.
