Robin Lumiere setlist question

I saw Robin's Lumiere show a couple of weeks ago and there's a song I'm trying to identify. It was my favorite so I went through all his albums and ep's and it doesn't seem to be on there, it's not flicker or argenta either.
This song is kind of dark and dramatic with a lot of feedback on the guitar, some drums, a hypnotic track.
It's on the Buenos Aires mp3 of the show, it's the song that starts 36 minutes into it.

Anyone have a setlist of his show? that would help.

THANKS.

I think you'll need to get Robin in an MRI scanner to get a setlist.

I didn't mean to sound facetious in the above post; as far as I can tell, the bulk of Lumiere is original material or improvisations over themes - I remember recognising the odd chord here and there but that's about it. Maybe the song you're after is a version of one of his duet with Harold Budd LPs?

I really appreciate the fact that Lumiere doesn't just consist of a load of recorded material played louder in a different order, that the live performance situation should give the musician freedom to improvise without the pressure of a permanent document - something that's always bothered me about Rush live (I love 'em, but god I wish they could stop reproducing their records so slavishly), and something that always made repeated Tangerine Dream concerts rewarding until the mid-80s - the basic themes were often familiar, but the rest of it was all totally new each time.

Oh, he's gone....

Excellent reply, Fritter. I think Robin would be pleased.

Thanks, I wouldn't dare try and second-guess the man, so I'm only going by what I heard when I saw Lumiere.

Come to think of it, all my favourite live acts probably don't use set lists as such.

I too think Fritter makes a good point about how Lumiere is 'played out' to each audience. I would definitely say there's quite a bit of improvisation going on, although each 'track' (per se) probably has some sort of pre-determined structure.....a structure that is bound to differ from one performance to another. Anyway, for the record I'll post the "official" description of Lumiere below, which does in fact mention improvisation.

----------------------------------------------------------
Lumière is a 40 minute long animated film created as a backdrop to a sublime collection of sensual and atmospheric, guitar only, instrumentals of truly hypnotic beauty performed live by Robin Guthrie…

As the founder member of the seminal Cocteau Twins, Robin Guthrie has created some of the most beautiful music of recent times and is widely regarded as a musical visionary. The distinctive sonic landscapes that have become his trademark are again on display throughout the Lumière performance and at time touches upon his, thus far, only instrumental album Imperial and his legions of admirers will find much that they recognise and love.

Yet what marks this performance out from his recorded work is the spaciousness of the music. Robin employs an astonishingly down-tempo pace throughout the performance to mesmerising effect. This is music to drift away to… music in which you can lose yourself…

The film itself has been made with the same craft and techniques which Robin has used in the sonic world for years, an interweaving and layering of images, creating distinct moods which are reflected my the music being played. The music is ‘improvised within the framework dictated by the visuals’ and used no fixed rhythm or ‘beats’ but more relies on layers of treated guitars and cyclic melodies.

This would appear to be the tracklist for 'imperial' and has very little to do with 'lumiere'...

it's my mistake, another version is "Imperial, Drift, Snowfall, early version of Crescent and two or three unreleased tracks."

If you have the BsAs mp3 (of extremely bad quality) you might check out the song that starts at minute 36 of the file. It's a great song but going through albms, ep's, budd material I couldn't find it.
The most similar is As I Breathe from Continental though, it's probably a variation of that song.
