-----COCTEAU COMPARISON APPEARS IN WIRED-----
A reviewer writes the following in his review of a new album released by Scarlett Johannson......"Back to the music. The more I listen to this album, the more I'm reminded of the Cocteau Twins (when I'm not being reminded of Scarlett Johannson, that is), and that has me feeling really nostalgic. It's not an emotion I admire. (I can't listen to much early Yo La Tengo either, for the same reason.) I know people have been giving Johansson a hard time about her voice on some of these songs, and I can't get behind every track on the album ("Fannin Street," for instance, is a bit of a dirge). But if that good old Cocteaus sound still has access to a secret, backstage area of your heart, some of these songs will get to you, as they did to me."

-----NEW MUSIC FROM SIMON RAYMONDE-----
Simon Raymonde sings a duet with Stephanie Dosen on a cover version of Lakes Of Canada originally by the Innocence Mission. Simon also plays piano, dobro guitar and bass on the track. The version is available on A Lily Of The Spectre by Stephanie Dosen. The album will be released on Fontana in the USA in July. Simon plays piano, bass and guitar on most tracks on the album, as well as producing. Simon also plays piano on a version of dead can dance's song The Carnival is Over which was specially performed at the iTunes Festival by Jose Gonzales and Stephanie Dosen last month. In Europe the concert of Jose and Stephanie is available now on iTunes, and will be shortly available in the USA and the Rest of the World.
