Default Lonely Blather

Most of the time CT music lifts me to the heavens.
They've been a real aid to me since 1984 when I took a chance on an imported vinyl "Treasure" in a university town record bin
.
A roommate and a girlfriend were pretty interested back then, too.

Now, though, in my small office with my small-minded coworkers, in my small geography, I feel a certain loneliness when I can't SHARE.

Cocteau Twins. No one's heard of 'em, and I'm quite sure that most would freak out if they did.

It's a sort of aesthetic isolation, partially relieved by the existence of you fine members of these cocteautwinsforums!

Are you living in the town Violet, Indiana? ;-)
Only 4 posts for you.....come in and join the crowd...usually quite a bit going on around here that should ease your feelings of isolation...lots of comedy and a bit of irritation thrown in for good measure...make yourself comfortable in the new Cocteau Cafe! Yes, Cocteau Twins music is a sublime pleasure and definitely a life saver musically..we all seem to share that experience.

Heh-heh - well, it so happens that I AM in Indiana, truth be told!

& I've often wondered how/why Robin G. came up with that band name...

Well I'm in New York City, and scarily, when I mention Cocteau Twins, most people stare at me as if I am mentioning something from a rarely visited Amazonian tribe. I guess no matter where you are you have to dig deep to find the Twins' fans.
